This article provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the neuropsychological assessment included in the MindLenses Professional clinical protocol.
Can the neuropsychological evaluation in MindLenses Professional be used for diagnostic purposes?
No. The neuropsychological tests in MindLenses are not intended for diagnostic use.
Can the initial evaluation be carried out in two separate sessions or paused?
No, due to data safety concerns. However, you can select which tests to administer from those available, without running the full battery, thus shortening the session.
I'm following a patient with dyspraxia who can't write the words they say during the phonological fluency test. Can I write the words for the patient or support them in doing so?
No. To preserve test validity, it is recommended that the patient performs the test under the intended conditions and follows the provided instructions. If the patient's condition prevents proper execution, the test can be excluded when setting up the assessment plan. Refer to the User Manual for more information.
What is the best time to perform the post-therapy evaluation?
We recommend conducting the post-therapy evaluation within one week of the final session. For medium- or long-term follow-ups (e.g. after 3 or 6 months), we suggest using standardized test batteries.
Which cognitive functions do the tests focus on?
The main cognitive functions evaluated by the MindLenses tests are memory, executive functions, and language. Refer to the User Manual for the full list.
I selected extra tests. Can I change the assessment once it's started?
No. If the assessment has not yet been delivered to the patient, you can contact Customer Support by opening a ticket and requesting the removal of the extra tests.
